This is the latest CDPR (California Department of Pesticide Regulation) approval of a crop spray that contains processed free glutamic acid (MSG). The CDPR has been approving use of this material since April, 2000 despite evidence demonstrating the this material contains MSG, a known toxic substance and endocrine disruptor which, in addition to causing brain damage and endocrine disruption, causes a variety of adverse reactions (migraine headache, asthma, heart irregularities, seizures and more) in people who ingest amounts that exceed their tolerances for the substance. What lies behind the CDPR's approval of spraying MSG on crops?
