{"id":1477,"date":"2021-03-07T17:27:41","date_gmt":"2021-03-07T17:27:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.truthinlabeling.org\/blog\/?p=1477"},"modified":"2021-03-07T17:30:49","modified_gmt":"2021-03-07T17:30:49","slug":"would-a-switch-to-clean-labels-be-the-right-thing-to-do","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/truthinlabeling.org\/blog\/2021\/03\/07\/would-a-switch-to-clean-labels-be-the-right-thing-to-do\/","title":{"rendered":"Would a switch to clean labels be the right thing to do?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With petition # FDA-2021-P-0035 filed at the FDA to strip monosodium glutamate (MSG) of its GRAS (generally recognized as safe) status, manufacturers who use MSG as their flavor-enhancer of choice might consider switching to \u201cclean label\u201d ingredients such as hydrolyzed proteins or any one of a number of yeasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let there be no confusion.
