It is said to have been created by Bollywood celebrity couple Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, and just launched in Mumbai. According to the trade publication <em>Food Ingredients First<\/em>, the partnership also includes the U.S. company \u2013 and king of fake proteins &#8212; Archer Daniels Midland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As typical of other \u201cplant-based meat\u201d products, they tout pea protein as their miracle ingredient, without telling what it is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So just what is pea protein?&nbsp; Pea protein is an amino acid stew made of hydrolyzed peas, manufactured in food processing plants. And although there will be some differences in individual products, each and every man-made\/manufactured hydrolyzed pea protein ingredient will contain the three potentially toxic amino acids: aspartic acid, L-cysteine, and glutamic acid.
