Could Synamex be the ultimate hiding place for MSG?

From the New York Times via CorpWatch:

Senomyx's Fake Flavors
(http://www.corpwatch.org/article.php?id=12053)
"Unlike artificial sweeteners, Senomyx's chemical compounds will not be listed separately on ingredient labels. Instead, they will be lumped into a broad category - "artificial flavors" - already found on most packaged food labels" (Emphasis added)

"'We're helping companies clean up their labels,' said Senomyx's chief executive, Kent Snyder." (Emphasis added)

Sweet Or Salty With Senomyx    (http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/05_13/b3926149_mz027.htm)
"Each compound, [Robin Manners West of New Mexico's State Investment Council] says, works on a different flavor, so foodmakers can calculate how much to cut back on sugar, salt, or monosodium glutamate. On Mar. 3 two of Senomyx' enhancers got approval from the Flavor & Extract Manufacturers Assn., typically endorsed by the Food & Drug Administration, which dubbed them 'generally regarded safe.'  These are the only approvals Senomyx needs."  (Emphasis added)
