{"id":2983,"date":"2024-04-04T15:59:23","date_gmt":"2024-04-04T15:59:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/truthinlabeling.org\/blog\/?p=2983"},"modified":"2024-04-04T15:59:23","modified_gmt":"2024-04-04T15:59:23","slug":"fake-tuna-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/truthinlabeling.org\/blog\/2024\/04\/04\/fake-tuna-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Fake tuna?!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The ever-expanding market for imitation food has reeled in a host of phony fish dishes, the latest coming from \u201cGood Catch,\u201d with its \u201cfish-free TUNA.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This product contains more brain damaging MfG ingredients than any other product we\u2019ve previously looked at, including&nbsp;<strong>pea protein isolate, soy protein concentrate, faba protein, lentil protein, soy protein isolate, citric acid and yeast extract.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why the company has not been challenged by the FDA for false and misleading labeling isn\u2019t clear, since the FDA has a long list of what can legally be called tuna, which is limited to actual varieties of real fish.
